Hi All-
I've been lurking around here for almost a year now since I bought my 1996 Savage. So much helpful info here.
Here is one that I couldn't find anything on.
Last week the shifter rod connecting the pedal to the shifter arm snapped in two. I was glad to find out it was only a $9 part. This weekend I plan to install it. Has anyone ever done this before and is there anything I need to know. It seems pretty straight forward. Do I just screw both threaded ends in all the way and tighten down the locking bolts? The Clymer manual doesn't even make reference to it except in an illustration so I imagine there is nothing to it.
Thanks, John

Tomorrow the riding weather should be perfect here in Colorado.
